Subject:Re: Paradox closes when I attempt to open a complicated form

Greetings again.

I've run table repair on all the tables and re-packed, without success.
I tried removing the linked tables one by one, the tabs, all their code,
and some of the code specific to the form. By the end of the process, most
of the functionality of the form had been removed. It still wouldn't open.
At least the error message had changed to "Unexpected General Protection
Violation" (then shuts down).
Finally I tried running Paradox in Windows 7 emulation, running it as Administrator,
and it's worked perfectly since! (Can anyone explain this?)
This manouevre has also fixed an incidental and very annoying issue: I could
change the general and developer settings, but next time I opened Paradox
I'd have to do it all over again (including resetting the working directory)!

So - problem sorted.

Many thanks for all the suggestions.
