Subject:64 bit Windows7 compatability with Paradox

I posted a message on the Corel website asking about whether I can run Paradox
for Windows under Windows 7 64 bit. This was their response. Very disappointing,
but not surprising:

Does anyone have any more information?

Craig

I am a long time Paradox user (and programmer) and need to know if it will
work with WIndows 7 64 bit.

 ===================================================
Corel has a varied range of customer segments and products and there is no
single solution to how Corel will take advantage of the Windows 7 (W7) features.
Some existing products will work on W7 without patch updates and others will
have further development to ensure they are optimized for compatibility in
W7.

Corel has recently launched the CDS 2010 family range which is already W7
Certified.

Corel will be posting additional production information in the coming weeks
regarding Windows 7 compatibility. Please visit www.corel.com/windows7 regularly
for updated information.

The problem with your answer is that you don't have an updated version of
Paradox for Windows in your new version of Wordperfect Office. I would be
glad to upgrade IF you had an updated (Win 7 compatable) version of Paradox
for Windows. As a developer, you are essentially committing me to change
platflorms.

Dear Craig,

I understand your feedback and concerns. However, we would like to inform
you that any information as to when an update patch or newer version will
be released is only available to our development team and marketing managers.
However, if an update patch or a newer version is released, they will immediately
post it on our website so we advise you to check it on a regular basis.

Regards,

Allan
