I've been continuing to work on two issues.  Here is a brief status:

pnews web is down because for reasons unknown, the dnewsweb executable will 
not function under /cgi-bin/.  I have tried multiple combinations of 
permissions and file ownership.  My next move is to see if there is some 
limitation on executing binaries, and I need to cook up some debugging 
utilities for this.  It's possible that it may not be possible to resurrect 
this, which is primarily an issue for text search of the newsgroup archives.

www.thedbcommunity.com is still unavailable as there is no version of Joomla 
supported on the default configuration of the hosting package, and upgrading 
this presents some challenges for some of the hosting tools (sort of a big 
dependency chain).  There is no great testbed for working this out, so it's 
been slow and sort of painstaking.  Half of my time spent on this is trying 
to put a Joomla solution in place, and the other half is trying to find a 
different CMS.

I am continuing to work on this, but as you can (hopefully) imagine, this is 
a low priority for me, relatively speaking.
