Mostly, we try to get by WITHOUT rules. Or, better put, get by WITH common
sense, courtesy and cooperation.

Below are the basic rules for posting on the pnews Newsgroups:

1. No profanity. These groups are about helping each other solve issues
related, to one degree or another, to Paradox the Application. There should
be NO need for any type of profanity. Failure to comply with this rule WILL
get you banned from this news server.

2. Be courteous. Whether someone says something you disagree with or not,
there really shouldn't be any reason not to be courteous in your reply.
With some of the discussions that take place in the -discussions group,
things can get pretty heated. Take a moment to reflect on your answer
should you become involved in such a thread.

3. Cooperate with others here. There are all types of people from all over
the world, with varying backgrounds. Sometimes a question is asked in a way
that doesn't make sense, or appears to be something it isn't. If in doubt,
ASK the person posting if they will explain a bit before you assume their
question, or statement, is really what you think it is.

4. International Forum. People from all over the world participate.
Before calling someone's method of stating something into question, realize
that they may be responding in a language other than their native tongue.
Could YOU ask the same thing in THEIR language, and state it better? Again,
a bit of courtesy will go a long way.

In general, we attempt to keep the 'moderator' hat in the closet and
participate as guests, here; the same as everyone else. When absolutely
required, however, we will step in and attempt to *moderate* the groups. In
the case of SPAM or profanity, we will delete messages.

Please keep the above in mind when participating. But most of all WELCOME!
We look forward to your participation on the best News Groups in existence.

Being that fortunate, what's to complain about?"
