I will check with the admin about this.

i read about oplocks on prestwood forum...
my network admin wants more proof this is the
         cause before he makes changes.

we excluded all folders that are for paradox on
tuesday and have not noticed any change

paradox is working except two programs. paradox is
       slow to respond

i installed paradox today on a node.... i have noticed when i use
a browse function (eg. to create aliases) in paradox to locate something:
if paradox is handling the browse function it is slow to react. when window
handles a browse function it is fast.

thanks for the input and i will look into what you have suggested...
