ODBC is a Microsoft standard way for connecting to databases. It's been
deprecated in the past but is now coming into favour again. You need to
download the Firebird ODBC driver from their website and install it, and
then use the Windows ODBC connection snap-in to create a system wide
connection. If you have the BDE set correctly, an alias for the ODBC
connection will be created automatically. Then you just use that alias
to connect to the database in Paradox with an ODBC connection string.
Liz McGuire wrote an article on the community website about how to use
ODBC in Paradox. She uses MS SQL but the same advice applies to Firebird.
