formatted memo fields.. opinions, please, aside from "don't use them" :-)
in this instance, they're usually 1k to 2k in size, and the guy who designed
the tables made them all F240.. 99% of the use is for reports, so if I
change them from F to M, I have to format the text in a gazillion reports,
instead of just letting it pass itself thru from the tables.. not today
do you think the table structure will be more solid if I change the table
part to F1, F10, etc.. something small.. the full content is way more than
the 255 alpha field limit, most of the time, so I'm thinking it's just gonna
make MORE I/O traffic.. but it's always gonna open the table and the memo,
either way
this is all just theory, of course
