yes, there should be a byte-marker that's different, but I don't recall it,
offhand, either.. can you open a 10 and that one, to see if there's a
difference near the beginning of the file?
I can try to open your file in my p9, but that's not a generic solution :-)

I have some delivered forms and need to know what version of Paradox
they were delivered in. They won't run under P10 but I need to know if
they were delivered in P9 or P7. I don't have either of these versions
any longer so was wondering if there's a flag somewhere in the FDL
itself. I have Notepad++ so can open them but I have no idea where to
look. Can anyone advise how to determine the Paradox version of a .FDL file?
