Interesting.

I haven't touched any Oplocks settings since forever.
All I have done in the last few years is disable write behind caching on 
the Folder Share and disable power saving on the network card.

I haven't seen any issues by just doing these.

It would be nice to know which of these (still?) apply to Windows 10/11. 
Are they more forgiving I wonder?
