yes, Leslie, Win10 must have finally eliminated the need for the 
setting.. this stuff was just defaulted backwards because of Access

Peter has 7 and XP.. definitely do whatever it says to do, on all 
machines, oplocks, write-cache, local share in the bde.. depending on 
how your stuff is set up, you might really only need it on the server, 
but it doesn't hurt to do it on all machines

without looking it up right now, I do remember it's all "lanman" 
something :-)
