Yes and the correct "way around this" is to not run Paradox elevated.
Surely someone by now has created an installation checklist/scripts for
Paradox to ensure that it can run within a User account. Hopefully John did
not do this because he uses the default BDE installer rather than our one
modified for the UAC world.
But if I had little choice, I much prefer using UNC paths (if possible) over
the registry hack for mapped drives.
