Bernie, that's correct. They come out every patch Tuesday, once a month.
There is, however, a non-zero chance that a quality update will brick
your computer. I always defer quality updates until I'm ready to
download and install them (it's also a group policy in Win10 Pro) and
wait at least until the inevitable 3rd week patch to fix something
broken in the original update. Quality (security) updates usually fix
something that's not exploited in the wild yet so it's prudent to wait
but if there's a malicious actor out there and MS says "INSTALL NOW" I
usually go to the MS Update site and just install that one single
security patch.
There's really nothing new in Version 2004 that I want but my old
version will End Of Life soon (no more updates) so I installed it after
giving it plenty of time to settle down. Sometimes when you upgrade to a
new major release version you just have to upgrade all your drivers as well.
