Oops, sorry for the delayed response.
Not sure what problem you ran into. I'm using Windows Live Mail and had a
completely different problem though. When cross-posting to a lot of
different groups, looks like the group list got truncated, and the message
was rejected. I broke it up into two posts, and posted it to:
comp.databases.paradox,pnews.announcements,pnews.paradox-client_server,pnews.paradox-development,pnews.paradox-discussions,pnews.paradox-discussions,pnews.paradox-dos,pnews.paradox-future
and
pnews.paradox-interactive,pnews.paradox-linux,pnews.paradox-programming,pnews.paradox-web
I'll keep these going for a while longer to allow the message to spread.

Larry,
When I try to post to multiple groups with a followup-to pointed here
to -discussions, the server prompts me for a login, but I don't have a
login. Even when I exclude those groups that I think might be read-only
(announcements and faq), it still prompts me for a login (not only that, but
once it's done that once, I can't even read newsgroups without it prompting
me to log in - I have to restart Thunderbird).
So, below is what I propose be posted to all groups. Perhaps you could put
on your admin hat and post it to all the groups?
Thanks,
Liz
PROPOSED ANNOUNCEMENT:
Subject: Paradox Newsgroup Replacement
All,
Eventually the pnews.thedbcommunity.com server will go read-only and then be
shut down entirely. We have decided to replace it with a google group:
https://groups.google.com/g/thedbcommunity
I recommend visiting there now to try it out before there's no alternative
so that we can resolve any issues now. You should be able to start new
"Conversations" (though no one's tried) and can reply to the current
"Welcome..." conversation.
(Please only reply to the "Followup-To" group: pnews.paradox-discussions.)
Thanks,
Liz
