Wow! (on MAC, UTM/QEMU, etc).
VirtualBox, in general, is excellent - pity it's not built for the MAC,
though.
FWIW.....
Some years back, I tried PDox under DOSBOX. AFAIR, it worked OK-ish, at
a basic level, but there were nasty, deep, bugs in the emulation, that I
tried very hard to unravel and fix, and a few of us wasted man-weeks on
testing and debugging, and gave up, advising clients to NOT use DOSBOX.
Then VBox, also AFAIR, was/is based on DOSBOX, and looked better, but
development and support were 'moving targets' a few years ago, and I was
afraid to re-run the PDox stress-tests on it, and to recommend it.
I don't recall ever trying QEMU...
