Can't directly execute Intel code on Apple's arm cpu (M1, M2, M3). For
64 bit there are solutions e.g. rosetta, but nobody's interested in 8/16
(& 32 I think) bit !!

Redirecting ports is built-in. Problem is most cheap modern printers --
so-called gui printers -- do not support PCL any more, relying on the
driver/os to do the work.
My reports include PCL setup info. Font, page orientation etc etc.
