Oh wait, something i just remembered. The scenario i described also
occurs on my workstation from time to time and the only way to resolve
it is restart. That was why i didn't think reinstalling it and switching
the user mode would make any difference.
I have discussed it with some of the users here and they also said that
it used to happen before we did our hardware upgrade, but it would only
happen to one user (because they all had their own PCs back then) so
restarting for one user wasn't a big deal. Whereas restarting the server is.
So i guess if reinstalling under the correct mode would mean that each
user's paradox instances are somehow kept separate and the issue no
longer requires a server restart but the affected user needs to log off
and on, then perhaps i do need to do this reinstall.
