Hi Peter
Kevin searchs a way to send email from Paradox with a gmail smtp
serveur. In order to do this you have to use TLS encryption for the
connection.
With pdoxindy, a little dll I wrote years ago in Delphi 7 (open source),
you can send email directly to a smtp server so without MAPI, without a
mail application. So I decided to add TLS support in Pdoxindy. Now it
works for me in France with Pdox 7 or Pdox 10 in windows 8.1 but it
failed when Kevin tried in windows 10 with the following error :
"Erreur: Impossible de charger la bibliotheque SSL ", unable to load
the SSL library.
So if you have 5 minutes you could test the package I'v prepared here :
https://www.clairinfo.fr/fichiers/Test_Pdoxindy_13.zip
Simply unzip the content in a test folder, for instance c:\test
then open Paradox set the working directory to c:\test and first save
the paradox library, LibEmail.lsl, and then the test form, Test.fsl, in
your version of Paradox.
Now open the Test form and try to send an email by connecting to
smtp.gmail.com with a gmail account. I posted previously here a picture
to help you figure out what information was needed in the screen.
And then please report here your result and add your windows version and
your Paradox version.
