No, Pop and IMAP are 2 ways for reading email not for sending.
I believe it's the same login / password for authentification whatever
you choose but the port for receiving email will be different between
Pop and Imap (and also depending of use of SSL for reading emails). For
smtp the port will depend of SSL use, for instance 465 for SSL and 587
without. All theses parameter depends of the server configuration so you
have to follow the specific documentation of your email provider.
