Mike Prestwood's "utility" won't install on my Windows 7 machine with
Paradox 9. I run the BDEInfoSetup.EXE, the box is already checked to
install BDE 5.2, and when I click Next it gives the error message below.
The installation program has detected BDE version 5.1.0.4 currently
running. Please close any applications using the BDE and then restart
this installation.
Paradox is closed and I have checked Task Manager for anything that is
not a basic system program and nothing extra is running that I can find,
so I don't think this installer is going to work for my case.
Bottom line, does anyone have a simple stand-alone installer for BDE 5.2
or a location I can download it?
Many thanks,
Joe
