For testing.

Some new users don't believe that they can actually get a message posted on 
the internet and receive it back.

My main Forum has lots of testing being done:

"A place to test some of the special types of posts you might make. Such as 
images, charts, or what have you. This is the place to try things first. 
Posting in this area will not increase post count." (Mine is Posts: 2,601 )

I have used it a lot, after we were driven back to our current (Rotten) old 
software we had a wonderful rich home.
